Sadie Hawkins dance is a tradition at Oak Mountain High School. The dance is held in February, right before Valentine's Day. What makes this dance unique is that the traditional etiquette calls for the girls to ask the guys and pay for the date.
This event features a live band with swing dancing, Mo-town, and top 40 hits! There are drinks and lite snacks provided. Sadies has quickly become and Oak Mountain Classic!
The Oak Mountain High School Senior Banquet is one of the classiest events hosted by the Senior Class SGA Officers. The event is held at the picturesque Douglas Manor the Thursday before the last week of school. This is truly an event that everyone looks forward to for their senior year.
Affectionately referred to as "SGA Camp", the SGA Leadership Retreat is one of the most important team bonding experiences within the student government. The leadership retreat is a mix of competition, team building, leadership instruction, dance parties, and more. It is difficult to describe exactly what camp means to those in the SGA, but it continues to get each group off to a great start each year.
